Russian Strike Targets Boeing Office in Kyiv, Financial Times Reports

A recent Russian missile strike on Kyiv caused significant damage to an office building used by Boeing, according to a report by the Financial Times on June 15.
The incident occurred overnight between June 9 and 10, during one of the largest aerial attacks on the Ukrainian capital in recent months.
According to two Boeing employees, three Ukrainian officials, and the head of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, the facility was among several commercial sites impacted by the barrage. The building reportedly sustained substantial structural damage.
Images verified by the Financial Times, originally published by Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES), show rescue workers extinguishing fires and operating within the heavily damaged premises.
Boeing has operated in Ukraine for several years, primarily through engineering and technical support services. The company collaborates with Ukrainian aircraft manufacturer Antonov and continues to maintain a workforce of more than 1,000 employees across the country.
According to Andrii Koriagin, Deputy General Manager of Boeing Ukraine, no disruption to company operations occurred as a result of the strike. A spokesperson confirmed that no staff members were injured. Job postings published in early June suggest Boeing remains actively engaged in recruitment within Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha commented to Financial Times that the attack on a US company further highlights the nature of Russian strikes targeting civilian and industrial infrastructure. Other recent targets have included the Antonov aircraft plant, power stations, and defense-related facilities.
The exact date of the strike remains unclear, with some sources indicating June 9 and others citing June 10 based on missile launch data.
Earlier, 14 Russian Shahed drones struck Zaporizhzhia on June 14, igniting a humanitarian aid warehouse and injuring two police officers. The blast destroyed 100 tonnes of relief supplies, caused multiple fires, and damaged civilian infrastructure, including vehicles and apartment buildings.
