France Unveiled ANAFI UKR, a Reconnaissance UAV Tailored for Ukraine

French manufacturer Parrot unveiled the ANAFI UKR, a compact reconnaissance quadcopter specially adapted to Ukrainian frontline needs with robust electronic-warfare resistance and extended endurance which has already been launched into serial production as was reported by European Defence Review on June 19.
Parrot CEO Henri Seydoux explained that “the development of ANAFI UKR began in spring 2024, with repeated trips to Ukraine to assess real-world requirements and conduct field tests,” underscoring the platform’s battlefield-driven design.
ANAFI UKR weighs 959 grams at basic mass and up to 1,450 grams at maximum takeoff, and delivers up to 50 minutes with the extended battery, with a range up to 40 km. It operates in winds up to 15 m/s and at altitudes up to 5,000 m across temperatures from –35 °C to +50 °C.

As combat mission effectiveness hinges on a UAV’s ability to evade enemy-deployed electromagnetic traps the drone is equipped with a visual navigation system which ensures operation with jammed GPS signals and immunity to the most EW systems existing. Radio frequency communications are secured with top-tier symmetric encryption over dual-radio Wi-Fi/5G links, supplemented by a military grade anti-jamming long range backup line for autonomous return-to-home.
Camera payload includes a dual gimbal with a 35x-zoom RGB camera and a 640x512 pixel night vision thermal sensor. According to Parrot representative ANAFI UKR micro-UAV pricing starts at approximately $17,000, depending on selected configuration, integrations, and support options. These drones are likely expected to be delivered as government aid from partner nations.
Earlier, Germany announced large-scale deliveries of 4,000 Mini-Taurus suicide drones to Ukraine—designed for high autonomy under electronic-warfare conditions and capable of long-range strikes—with batches set to begin arriving in December and prototypes already tested in active combat.
