Over 100 Vessels, 50 Maritime Drones: Netherlands Delivers €400 Million Naval Support to Ukraine

The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with a €400 million (approximately $436 million) military assistance package focused on strengthening maritime security.
The announcement was made by Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans on June 4 ahead of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in the Ramstein format, held in Brussels, according to a report by European Pravda.
The package includes more than 100 vessels, ranging from patrol boats and transport craft to interceptors and special operations ships — a wide range of more than 100 maritime platforms, along with over 50 maritime drones. It also covers weapons systems, sensors, spare parts, and training for Ukrainian personnel.

“This is a comprehensive package aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s maritime security. It is critically important, as we are seeing growing Russian threats both in the Black Sea and around the Kherson region,” the Dutch Defense Minister stated.
He emphasized that the Netherlands remains committed to supporting Ukraine’s right to free navigation and the protection of vital maritime trade routes.
Earlier, the last group of Dutch F-16 fighter jets designated for Ukraine has departed from the Netherlands.
The aircraft took off from Volkel Air Base and headed to Belgium, where they will undergo final preparations before being handed over to Ukraine. This shipment marks the completion of the Netherlands' pledge to supply 24 F-16s in support of Ukraine’s defense efforts.
