Russian Forces Launch and Continue Offensive Operations Across All Fronts, Says Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russian forces have begun and are continuing their offensive actions on all fronts. Zelenskyy stated this during a press briefing in Ankara on May 15.
“Russia has launched an offensive against Ukraine on all fronts. The main focus is the Sumy region, where 70,000 troops are concentrated,” Zelenskyy said.
The President added that Russian forces are currently working to recover and regroup.
Zelenskyy arrived in Ankara for talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He had earlier expressed readiness to meet Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Istanbul on the same day, responding to Moscow’s call for direct negotiations.
However, reports indicate that Putin will not attend as part of the Russian delegation. US President Donald Trump will also be absent from the upcoming Russia-Ukraine peace talks.
Earlier, the Kharkiv Operational-Tactical Group reported that the Russian army has effectively launched its summer offensive. Pavlo Shamshin, spokesperson for the group, told a telethon on May 15 that troops on the front lines have observed Russian forces amassing and beginning their summer campaign.
He stressed that no ceasefire should be expected in the near future.
